8 Track Tape Players
Many of us can remember the 8-track tape players
back in the 60’s and 70’s. In 1972, Sears was featuring an 8-Track stereo tape
player for you car for only $79.95. This also included two 4X8 speakers. The
8-Track was the cutting edge of technology before the cassette dominated the
market and way before CD’s were even thought of. There was, for a time, a
4-Track player also. In the late 60’s I was in Tempo at the Arrowhead Shopping
Center deciding between a 8-Track or a 4-Track for my Mustang. I went for the advanced
technology and bought the 8-Track. I think I still have a case or two of
8-Tracks that survived the flood.
