Highway 2 East – managed by Darryl Christianson …. And Town & Country – managed by Cliff Overvold ….. price examples in 1969 –seedless grapes – 29 cents lb .. Banquet Pot pies – 3 for 39 cents .. Loaf of bread – 23 cents .. Roast beef – 79 cents lb. .. pork ribs – 69 cents lb. For about a year or so I worked at the Town & Country Piggly Wiggly when Cliff was the manager. Many stories can be told of those days.
